Murder on the Orient Express the beginning

Agatha Christie is one of my favorite authors of all time! My favorite book of hers is And Then There were None. She is a suspenseful and skillful author who crafts all her books. They each have such amazing detail that you feel right in tune with the mystery. All her books are also somewhat linked having a same protagonist Poirot, who is an English mystery detective and a true genius in himself. Christie goes into depth with each character creating an interesting profile of everyone. So far in murder on the orient express Poirot has been stuck on a train that he was intending to go back to London on because of snow and during this time a tremendous accident occurs, one of the passengers is killed. It is a true who dun it mystery with all the passengers and even the protagonist himself being suspicious. A great aspect of this story is that anyone could have done it. The story line is not predictable and you are always guessing. Agatha Christie is one of the few authors who can keep me interested in a novel and she continues to do so with Murder on the Orient Express!

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban--The middle

The exciting part of reading Harry Potter is that you always pick up on some new detail every time you read it. I am half way through the book after this week and it is almost as if I have never read it before. I am up to the part where Professor Lupin is teaching the students about different mythical creatures in Defense against the dark arts class. He brings out a creature that brings our one's biggest fears and presents it right in front of them and they must conquer it. Concerned about what Harry's biggest fear was he jumps in front of him and his own fear emerges, a full moon? Why a full moon? I did not pick up on this until the second time I read the book but its foreshadowing that Lupin is a ware-wolf. As is professor Snape's untimely assignment of werewolves. So the action is the book is just heating up and one of the other impressing aspects of Harry Potter is that it always keeps you interested. There is never a boring part. I am excited to keep reading.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban--Beginning

I have read this book several times and it never fails to impress! From the beginning Harry is whirl winded into danger at his school Hogwarts of Which craft and Wizardry but this year things are a little different. Harry is in constant fear of the man who helped killed his parents, a man named Serious Black. But is Black really who Harry thinks he is? Or is the government even been fooled by a blast from the past? Whenever I have read some serious books and need a pick me up I go to my favorite series of all time the Harry Potter books. They are always light and fun to read and they keep me in tune with my adventurous side. Although i do know the end of the book I am always surprised by what happens because every time i read it, I find some new detail that I previously looked over that makes it all the more interesting. I would recommend Harry Potter books to literally anyone who shares in the imagination of JK Rowling.

The Time Travler's Wife--The ending!!

Just like the beginning and the middle The Time Traveler's Wife was amazing especially at the end. Right after finishing the book I saw the movie and i was disappointed to find out that they somewhat altered the ending! In the book, before Henry and Claire die they get to see each other for one last time. What bothered be however, is that Claire goes from 40 to 80 in just one page. I thought the ending did not flow very well. However the book was so amazing i would recommend it to anyone despite the odd ending. I would especially recommend it to teens, because sometimes teenagers don't appreciate all that they have and this book really makes you think. It isn't trying to guilt you into helping a cause but just makes you appreciate life and love. My mother read this book at the same time as me and loved it as well. The Time Traveler's wife is a classic and should be read by everyone, or at least watch the movie.

The time Travler's Wife--Midway through analysis

So far this book if phenomenal which is something I have known since the first page. Midway through i want to compare it to another movie I recently saw and loved called the curious case of Benjamin Button. Benjamin Button is a boy living backwards. He was born and old man who cannot take care of himself and dies a young boy who cannot take care of themselves. These books have many things in common. First off, they both emphasize the importance and shortness of life. By putting a spin on things, and living life backwards your learn how important your life really is and never want to let it go. They also however both show the problems of not living your life and taking chances and what you can miss out on. Just being the way they were born, Eric and Benjamin missed out on certain aspects of their lives, but we don't have to! Finally, Both men stuck in a time warp had backwards love affairs that almost worked out. What kept them alive was the love their women felt for them but what drew them apart was years of age difference. Imagine if the person you love was getting older and more mature as you became younger and more immature. Obviously, this cannot happen in real life but I think the authors purpose was to put a high value on life and show that we all are a lot luckier than we think.

The Time Travlers Wife The beginning

This book is amazing!! Actually it is probably one of the best books I have ever read. The time Traveler's wife is the love story of Clare and Henry, a pair of star crossed lovers that aren't your typical romeo and Juliet. Their love is strong but Henry unwillingly travels through time at random moments, sometimes years when his wife cannot see him. She must raise a family and fight temptations all with his absence. I feel like the inspiration of this story was from Shakespeare and Romeo and Juliet because it is about two loves who just were not destined to be together but fought fate. And their love was strong enough to defeat fate and hold on. However there are some differences between the two. Romeo and Juliet have the mental obstacles of their parents feud while Clare and Henry are often physically separated. I am not quite done with this novel but I am so excited to read about the end of the story. I want to see if fate defeats true love, if Henry and Clare are meant to be together of if just like in Romeo and Juliet, a tragedy awaits. Will Gomez ever fulfill his dream of being with Clare? Questions i want to find out.

The running Man, not so great an ending

I finished the Running Man last week and i was not really satisfied. First off, to be honest i did not really understand the ending at all. It was vague and confusing and the over all way it was written in time intervals just threw me off when there was no time left. I don't nesicarily think this reading was too hard for me but I think it is more appropriate for someone who loves action and adventure and confusing plots with twists and turns which is simply not me. I also did not like at all the way the characters persona's changed throughout the book. When i first started reading i thought one way about Richard as this nice innocent father who just wants what is best for his daughter. Then later i thought he was some crazy attention seeker and by the end of the book he just seemed more like a James Bond want to be superhero. Because i could not get a grip on any of the characters true qualities, i could not relate to one thing about this book, so i found myself wondering why i was reading it. Possibly, its just not my kind of book but i am content that i tried a new type of genre. I am glad The Running Man is over and excited to start a new book.
